October

We had an awesome October with so many fun Fall activities!  Class parties, Trunk or Treat at Venture church, hayrides at the Weaver Pumpkin party, Dull's Farm fun with the Twins group, neighborhood parties and of course, trick or treating!
These kids really figured out how fun Halloween was this year and all the candy you can get!! Just by wearing a costume.  I admit, Halloween is not a big favorite of mine, but the kids were super excited. I even got in on the action as Justin Timberlake's 'Bring it on down to Omletteville' character.  Silly.

Slow down time!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly cannot believe it's October!!
Kids are back in the swing of things for school.  We have their fall parties tomorrow.  Saturday we are going to Dull's Farm for our twins group Pumpkin Party. We went there in spring for the Easter party and it was amazing.  Looking forward to all the fun.
And then the next 2 weeks we are off for fall break.  But I don't know how much a break it will be!!
There are birthday parties, school events, trying to work out, TKD, work, Purdue football, basketball season around the corner, neighborhood parties and just feels like we are constantly on the go.  Between GDC, Twins group, neighbors, my 'friends', there is always something going on.  Which is nice but sometimes can feel a little overwhelming.
But here are their cute school pics!! First Grade and Pre-K.  We had the girls' parent-teacher conferences yesterday, tonight we have Luke's.  Nothing but good things for the girls.  They started speech last month (Dem are dood dirls) and working with them stopping their thumb sucking and controlling emotions.  All and all very sweet but can be very feisty.

1st day of 1st grade!!

Luke had a great first day of first grade!  He got Mrs. Wood this year and from all accounts, sounds like she is fantastic.  And she's a Boilermaker...even better! A couple of girls from his K class are in there, but other than that, it's all new.  I have no doubt he'll do great.
On the night of the Ice Cream Social it was great to have a mini reunion with all his former classmates (though we see a majority of them regularly over the summer)  and Mr. Dicken, but also exciting to see the new fun and excitement 1st grade will bring.
Such a big boy!! So proud of his sweetness, eagerness to perform, and way his little brain thinks.

Luke's last day of camp!

He's so excited to be starting 1st grade on Wednesday!  Although he had good friends and Goddard was great, I think he was bored and is excited to get back to 'real' school.  Today was carnival day and can tell how excited he is.  And today he tests for yellow belt for TKD. Big Day!

Hello Springtime!

The school year is coming to an end. Only a couple of weeks left. It's amazing to see how much Luke has matured/ grown/ learned/ throughout kindergarten.  He had his spring musical last week "Peter Rabbit" and it was adorable.  Trip to Freddy's afterwards.  We had a Farm to Table field trip at the state fair grounds which was so fun to go to what him in action with his teacher and classmates.  He really is the sweetest, rule follower, explorer, Bey Blade playing boy I know.  And to top it off, he loves his sisters and is really a cutie :)

The girls will be finishing up LMP for the year and all of them will be going to Goddard for summer camp.  We are signed up for VBS at the Hazel Dell Christian Church they went to last year and loved it. Planning my parent's 45th wedding anniversary, a trip to Holiday World, concerts at Dillon Park & Deer Creek and just hanging with neighbors and friends already has our summer feeling like it's over before it's even started.  Memorial Day weekend is only 2 weeks away.  And this is the first time in a while I missed doing the Indy Mini.  Maybe next year??

4 year check up

We had the sisters' 4 year appointment.

Riley is 33.2 lbs    33%
39.75 inches          44%
BMI  14.8              33%

Vivian is 34 lbs       40%
40 inches                 57%
BMI  14.9                36%

It's always so funny to me because I feel like Riley is 'bigger'.  But they are pretty much the same, with the slight edge to Vivian.

They were the cutest and sweetest girls.  Blabbing with the doc and nurses.  They did such a good job.  It helped that Vivian had a slight fever so they didn't have a shot.  But now we have to go back next week to get it.  We will see how sweet they will be then.  :(

In like a lion, out like a lamb

Tomorrow is March 1st!

At the end of March my girls turn 4! Amazing.  How in the world can they be four years old?  They are so cute, so feisty, so funny, so amazing, so sweet, so mean, so so so..... I can't get over them.
I'm writing in all hopes of a Final 4 birthday party theme/weekend!  meaning, they turn 4 during Final 4 weekend and I would love for my beloved Boilers to be playing in San Antonio.  Man, that would be awesome.

But so far the girls are loving Little Millers Preschool.  We just had the school's big fund raiser "Winter Carnival" - chaotic but fun.  Luke won a goldfish! And shockingly it is still alive....
They have so many friends and so cute to hear them all call out 'Vivian!  Riley'  or "Hi Twins!" Talking to Mr. Dicken at school today he was like he just realized the girls were twins.  He thought there was only 1 of them because he had never seen both of them at the same time.  Ha!

We booked a trip to Gulf Shores for Spring Break- so looking forward to that! It will be here before we know it.

We hope Spring weather gets here soon and stays!!!

2018

18 days into 2018.

Getting ready to celebrate this little buddy (and his January birthday buddies) birthday.  Hard to believe SIX short (kinda long, kinda scary) years ago this baby was in my belly and I had no clue who or what he/she would be!!  And now that he's been here it's still hard to imagine what he'll be like in the next 6 years and beyond. I love this boy.  He is so sweet.  Such a good student.  A great brother.  Good friend.  I just love him.  Thank God I'm yours is the Russell Dickens song and reminds me of my sweet Luke Russell.
